The Global Record, Anchored

Europe's official record — the Official Journal of the EU, Spain's BOE, and more — fingerprinted daily, each day's record on the path to a permanent cryptographic anchor. So that anyone, forever, will be able to prove an official document existed exactly as written on the day it was published — no trust in us required.

Live counts from the ingestion engine. We store the SHA-256 fingerprint and source metadata only — never the document content. The originals stay where they belong: the official source.

What this proves — and what it doesn't

An anchor proves a document existed in this exact form at this time: tamper-evidence and an existence proof, verifiable by anyone, independently. It is not a claim about the authenticity of the document's origin, and it is not legal advice. We make the record provable; the institutions remain its authors.

Hash-only and GDPR-clean by design: a SHA-256 fingerprint of an already-public document is not personal data, and nothing of the content is stored — so there is nothing to erase. Re-use of these public records is expressly enabled under the EU Open Data Directive.

How it works

Fingerprint. Each day, every document a source publishes is fetched from its canonical URL and reduced to a SHA-256 hash. Content is never stored.
Build a daily root. The day's fingerprints are combined into one RFC-9162 Merkle root — a single value that commits to every document, with an inclusion proof for each.
Anchor cryptographically. The daily root is published to the LedgerProof witness log and cryptographically sealed — one tamper-evident timestamp for the whole day's record. (Cryptographically anchored nightly, since 1 July 2026.)
Anyone verifies. Re-hash any document, follow its inclusion proof to the day's root, and check that root against the anchor. No trust in LedgerProof — the math and the chain are the proof.

The sources

EU · Official Journal / EUR-LexThe authoritative record of all EU law. Enumerated via the Publications Office Cellar, canonical text by CELEX.
Spain · Boletín Oficial del EstadoThe official state gazette. Every act of the daily BOE, by its official BOE-A identifier.

First sources, not the last. France's Légifrance, the EU's TED procurement notices, and CJEU case law are the next streams on the path toward the whole of Europe's official record.

Built on the free record

The record is free to read and verify, forever. Teams that work at volume — newsrooms, law firms, archives, auditors — add a professional layer on top.

Watch a record →Get alerted the moment an official document diverges from what was anchored — silent-edit detection you can't afford to miss.
Bulk / API verificationVerify thousands of documents programmatically, with an audit log your team can export.
Verified reportsIssue a signed, timestamped proof of inclusion — a load-bearing proof that survives in a case file.
