LedgerProof

EU AI Act · Article 50 · Enforcing August 2, 2026

The receipt your General Counsel can hand to a regulator.

LedgerProof generates regulator-verifiable receipts for every AI-generated output your organization produces. Anchored to Bitcoin. Verifiable by anyone in under 10 seconds. Without trusting LedgerProof or any vendor.

Article 50 has three obligations. We satisfy each with a verifiable receipt.

Article 50(1)

Chatbot disclosure

Receipts capture every AI-mediated user interaction with the disclosure language used, signed by the deployer, anchored to Bitcoin. The receipt format rejects email addresses in policy-protected fields at parse time — GDPR-safe by construction.

Article 50(2)

Synthetic media labeling

Receipts cover image, audio, and video outputs with content hash, generation context, and the labeling mechanism applied. Compatible with C2PA and OpenTimestamps for defense-in-depth across the synthetic-media ecosystem.

Article 50(4)

AI-generated text labeling

Receipts attach to every AI-generated text artifact your organization publishes or transmits — chatbot responses, generated copy, summarization output, automated decisions. SDK wraps any model call; latency overhead is under 50 ms at the 99th percentile.

Why a General Counsel should care.

Article 50 enforcement begins August 2, 2026. The EU Code of Practice has not finalized. Most Tier-1 EU enterprises do not have a defensible audit trail for the AI deployed inside their own perimeter. The honest answer to "what is our exposure?" is, today: "we don't fully know."

LedgerProof is not a vendor solution that hopes you trust us. It is an open protocol (IETF Internet-Draft draft-dawkins-scitt-ai-article50-00) governed by a US 501(c)(3) Foundation in formation. The receipt format is open. The verifier is open-source. Your team can self-host the operator if procurement requires it. If LedgerProof Inc. fails, the protocol survives.

For the Code of Practice gap: the receipt schema uses a profile system. When the Code specifies a new disclosure obligation, we publish a new profile. Existing receipts remain valid under their original profile. New outputs flow into the updated one. You do not re-paper your AI deployment every time the regulator moves.

Three artifacts that move the conversation forward.
